NDA Exam Important Information
NDA exam is conducted twice every year by UPSC – NDA 1 in April and NDA 2 in September, with separate registration windows for both sessions. Below are the latest details for NDA 2026 (useful for your marketing content and student counselling).
Exam Frequency and Pattern
- Conducted 2 times in a year: NDA 1 and NDA 2.
- Mode: Offline, pen–paper (Objective type).
- Papers: Mathematics (300 marks) + GAT (600 marks) followed by SSB Interview for final selection.
- NDA 1 & NDA 2 2026 dates
- NDA 1 2026 exam date: 12 April 2026 (Sunday).
- NDA 2 2026 exam date: 13 September 2026.
- NDA 1 2026 – application schedule
- Notification release: 10 December 2025.
- Online registration: 10 December 2025 to 30 December 2025 (till 6 PM).
- NDA 2 2026 – expected schedule
- Notification release: 20 May 2026.
- Online registration: 20 May 2026 to 9 June 2026.
Basic Eligibility (NDA 2026)
- Nationality: Indian citizen, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or certain migrants with Govt. of India eligibility certificate.
- Gender & marital status: Unmarried male and female candidates only; marriage not allowed till completion of training.
- Age limit (NDA 1 & 2 2026): Overall required age: 16.5 to 19.5 years at the time of joining; date of birth must fall within notified range.
- Educational qualification:
- For Army wing Passed 12th (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- For Air Force & Naval wings and 10+2 Cadet Entry (INA): Passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.
**Students appearing in class 12 board exam are also eligible, subject to passing before joining NDA.**
